They are seeking an Account Executive for their Data Solutions team to manage the sales cycle and build relationships with investors and software vendors, contributing to the growth of this strategic area of their business.ResponsibilitiesOwn the full sales cycle from prospecting to closeDevelop and execute strategic territory and account plans to drive new logo acquisition across a targeted book of investors and software vendorsBuild CxO and Operating Partner-level relationships, becoming a trusted advisor to key decision-makers in Research, Business Development, Product, and ProcurementTranslate complex customer challenges into actionable, data-driven solutions using G2’s proprietary insightsShape deal strategy, pricing, and commercial models to meet revenue goals and customer needsCollaborate closely with Partnerships, cross LOB account teams, Product, Account Managers and Solution Consulting to deliver a seamless buyer experience and accelerate time-to-valueAccurately forecast pipeline, opportunity stages, and closed-won revenue using Salesforce and other sales analytics toolsContribute feedback to G2 product and GTM teams to inform roadmap and positioning based on customer feedbackSkills2+ years of quota-carrying experience selling Data, SaaS, or Enterprise Consulting servicesExperience in or excitement for building out a new teamProven track record of closing 6-and 7-figure deals with strategic decision-makersDeep familiarity with the needs and buying behaviors of private equity firms, venture capital, analyst firms, and/or B2B softwareComfortable navigating C-suite conversations, particularly with Operating Partners and GTM leadersStrong consultative selling skills and a data-driven mindsetSelf-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityExceptional written and verbal communicationBackground in investment research, management consulting, and/or experience with enterprise data platformsFamiliarity with market and competitive intelligence platforms, sales/marketing data tools, or alternative dataCompany OverviewG2 operates a software marketplace for business organizations to research, buy, and manage their software and services.
