Project Management Institute is seeking an Accessibility Program Manager to enhance the accessibility of their digital products and services. The role involves partnering with various teams to develop skills and infrastructure for accessibility, leading enterprise-level programs, and integrating accessibility into product and technology roadmaps.ResponsibilitiesFunction as an internal consultant and program strategist, partnering with product teams, marketing and communications teams, learning organizations, certification teams, legal advisors, and procurement leaders to build the skills, processes, and infrastructure needed to make PMI’s digital products and services consistently accessible to all members and customers globallyCombining technical accessibility expertise with change management, stakeholder engagement, training, and program coordination — empowered to define and advance PMI’s accessibility practices at an enterprise levelLeading major cross-functional programsOwning vendor and partner ecosystemsEstablishing quality standards and compliance frameworksPartnering with executive leadership to integrate accessibility into product, technology, and learning roadmapsSkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Technology, or a related field7–10+ years of experience in digital accessibility strategy, inclusive design, or program leadershipProven experience leading enterprise-level accessibility programs and influencing organizational changeDeep knowledge of global accessibility regulations and legal frameworksCertifications - IAAP CPACC required; validates governance, legal risk, and organizational management strategies across global accessibility frameworks; IAAP CPWA required or in active pursuit; demonstrates breadth of both technical and strategic accessibility mastery required to lead enterprise programsExpert-level knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, Section 508, EN 301 549, ADA, and the EU Accessibility ActAdvanced experience with all major assistive technologies across desktop, mobile, and emerging platformsStrong program and project management capabilities with a track record of delivering at scaleExecutive-level communication and strategic planning skillsExpertise in accessibility audit methodologies, VPAT/ACR production, and remediation prioritizationLeadership and cross-functional influence skills across design, engineering, product, and legal stakeholdersExpert problem-solving and risk assessment abilities in high-stakes compliance environmentsExperience with accessibility across exam delivery platforms, accommodation workflows, eLearning content authoring, software products, and member-facing digital services is strongly preferredFamiliarity with the unique compliance and user experience challenges of a professional association or certification organization is a significant advantageBenefitsAn excellent total package, with compensation and benefits based upon your geographic location.Skill development opportunities, to help you grow now and into the future.Access to a global network, to enrich your professional experience.Flexible options to help balance work time and your timeAward and bonus opportunities.Company OverviewThe Project Management Institute, Washington DC Chapter, Inc.
