This position will oversee regulatory reporting requirements, ensure compliance with insurance regulations, and manage financial reporting processes as we develop our payvider model in the Austin healthcare market. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESLead the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements and regulatory filingsDevelop and maintain internal controls for financial reporting processesCoordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies for examinations and inquiriesMonitor changes in insurance regulations and assess impact on financial reporting requirementsCreate and implement policies and procedures for regulatory complianceManage relationships with state insurance departments and other regulatory agenciesCollaborate with actuarial and finance teams to ensure accurate financial projections and align reporting with budget forecastsOversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statementsDirect the development of reporting systems and processes to meet regulatory requirementAd hoc analyses and projects as necessitated by the business needs DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred5+ years of experience in insurance regulatory reporting or similar roleStrong knowledge of statutory accounting principles (SAP) and GAAPExperience with state insurance department filings and examinationsProficiency in financial reporting systems and data analytics toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellence in project management and team leadershipUnderstanding of healthcare payment models and value-based care conceptsExperience with startup or growing organizations preferredThis is a Remote Role.WHAT WE OFFER Opportunity to shape Harbor Health's regulatory framework and financial reporting infrastructureCollaborative and dynamic work environmentAn organization made of people who are passionate about changing the healthcare landscapeCompetitive salary and benefits packageProfessional development and growth opportunitiesA transparent and unique cultureHarbor Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
