REGULATORY COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Clark Regional Wastewater District seeks a Regulatory Compliance Manager or Coordinator (DOQ) to join its team. Ideal candidate: • Professional – Apply comprehensive knowledge within a specific operating context to achieve desired program goals and objectives • Analytical - Analyze data and information, draw logical conclusions and make recommendations • Collaborative – Develop and maintain professional relationships and work effectively with local and regional stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, with diverse interests, building consensus for regionally supported programs and solutions • Communicator – Clearly and concisely express oneself and effectively convey complex and technical information to a variety of audiences, both orally and in writing Primary Responsibilities: • Manage operations of a state-accredited wastewater laboratory • Permit administration, compliance and renewal • Oversee a delegated Industrial Pretreatment Program • Monitor regulatory initiatives and trends • Agency coordination and engagement Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of education, training, and experience to successfully perform the duties of the position. A typical way to achieve that would be: • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry or a closely related field • Five (5)* years’ experience in environmental management, regulatory compliance and source control • Three (3)* years’ experience in a laboratory setting • One (1)* year supervisory experience. • Applicants who do not meet these qualifications may be considered for placement as the coordinator.
