About the positionResponsibilities
Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination for patients and families.
Deliver safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way.
Conduct patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with other healthcare team members.
Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
Assume responsibility for self-development and lifelong learning.
Provide direction and guidance to others regarding nursing practice.
Serve as a resource, preceptor, and mentor to other staff members.
Requirements
A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in an acute care setting.
2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience is strongly preferred.
BSN from an accredited school of nursing; if holding an Associate's Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a caring demeanor towards others.
Values team collaboration and possesses proficient computer skills.
