req30492 SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse, Contract Compliance oversees all facets of health services contract compliance at the facility level. Monitors the quality of healthcare provided and that the performance expectations of CoreCivic and its partners are met. Provides support to the Health Services Administrator (HSA), Regional Director of Health Services and others in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying, and administering the contract compliance program to evaluate and improve the quality of patient care. Evaluates the appropriateness and timeliness of the provided service in meeting contractual expectations, policy, and accreditation standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements. • Supports the development and implementation of the organization's health care contract compliance plan in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the company, federal and state laws and regulations, customer contract, and accreditation standards. • Works collaboratively with health services departments within the facilities to identify issues. Develops and implements systems and procedures for the identification, collection, and analysis of performance measurement data. • Compiles and analyzes data; identifies and recommends best practices and other interventions to address issues and drive improvements. Evaluates design tools and makes recommendations for improvements. • Educates and trains facility leadership and health services staff in understanding health services contract, policy and standards compliance, and their respective responsibilities in carrying out the program. • Leads, facilitates, and advises CoreCivic quality improvement teams. Facilitates discussions with health services staff on compliance concerns and provides guidance or recommends corrective action to maintain compliance with policy and contract/partner requirements. • Collects and summarizes objective data to identify opportunities for improvement, and presents findings to CoreCivic health services leadership, the HSA, nurses assigned to chronic care and CQI roles, and other health services stakeholders, both in the facility and to our partners. • Participates in preparation for accreditation and inspections. Identifies any standard deficiencies or areas of concern and provides guidance to staff to improve performance. • Collaborates with the FSC Legal department in After Action Reviews of critical occurrences to examine risks, accountability measures and areas of improvement. Assists with formulation of responses to recover liquidated damages, where applicable. • Observes patient care health services delivery across multiple settings in the facility. Collects data and reports findings to CoreCivic health services leadership. • Utilizes electronic and other records systems, including the patient health records to gather and analyze data, and draw conclusions for reporting and advisement purposes. • Acts as liaison and engages with the government partner for policy and audit tool reviews. Provides feedback and assists with interpreting and implementing new or revised policies and audit tools. • Domestic U.S. travel is required. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from an accredited college, university or nursing program with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. Must possess current licensure as an RN in the state of employment/assignment, or a nursing compact state. If the latter, must be willing to become licensed in the state of employment within ninety (90) days. Five years of current, professional nursing experience required. One year of experience in a compliance monitoring/analysis preferred. Also, one year in a correctional health care program is preferred. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Must possess Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or become certified within the first three months of employment.
