Registered Dietitian | FT Days Remote
Job Title: Registered Dietitian - Remote
Department: Food and Nutrition
Location: Preference for candidate to be able to commute to Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY
This employee can work remote from any state except California
Hours Per Week: 40
Schedule: 8 hour shifts, 8a-4:30p; primarily looking for weekday coverage. Potential for remote work or hybrid work schedule as arranged with manager.
SUMMARY:
As a Registered Dietitian, your exceptional nutritional knowledge allows patients to receive appropriate, high quality diet plans essential to the best nutritional care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
β’ Assessment - Complete nutritional assessments for all patients; provide input into Nutritional Support Service rounds for assigned patients; monitor and document patient progress.
β’ Diet Planning - Provide recommendations for formulations, rate and volume for all tube fed and TPN patients; instruct patients and families on special diets and general good nutrition; complete diet instructions for complex diets.
β’ Patient Care - Develop plan of care per clinical data, interview, diagnosis and treatment goals; provide oversight to dietetic technicians in providing patient care.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
β’ Bachelorβs degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
β’ Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) either in place or received within 6 months of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
β’ One (1) to three (3) years of experience.
β’ Strong analytical, computer and communication skills.
β’ Exceptional customer service and patient care.
For Remote Candidates
β’ Would need to be comfortable with video consultation platforms
β’ Will visit patients utilizing Artisight technology
β’ Must have a private place for work
β’ Would require to be on camera
β’ Remote work is optional for all candidates in the United States except for California
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
PAY RANGE: $29.50 - $38.00
