Regional Sales Manager

Position OverviewTriMed is seeking a Regional Sales Manager in the Chicago, IL area to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and market share within the region. This role involves managing a team of sales representatives, analyzing market trends, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The Regional Sales Manager plays a key role in achieving the company’s sales objectives and fostering a high-performance sales culture.What You’ll Do:Manage communication efforts with the sales force regarding territory sales, product updates, and progress to achieving territory sales objectives and company sales objectives.Set sales goals by territory and monitor/ communicate performances as compared to goals.Support sales force by providing in depth education on company products and strategic sales tactics.Support the execution of the in-house product education program.Attend scheduled in-field visits to support the sales force product knowledge and address territory needs.In collaboration with Product Managers, answer salesforce inquiries related to product feedback.Perform as an interim Sales Representative in new, or open, sales territories as needed.Establish relationships with key customers, including surgeons, operating room personnel and administrators.Develop and sustain teams of surgeons which will endorse, support and purchase new and existing company products.Enhance sales efforts and coordinate company participation by attending all appropriate and major regional and national trade shows and conferences.Learning company business by acquiring an intimate understanding of all company products and marketing strategies while assisting in the development of sales tools.Assist company management in identifying new business opportunities, including product development, concepts, product line extensions, distribution opportunities or acquisitions.General corporate functions associated with the role as a manager, includes but not limited to, answering emails, reviewing monthly activity re-cap reports, attending monthly sales review meetings and marketing review meetings.Management of regional budget, which includes managing the travel and entertainment budget.Support sales force with consigned and loaner inventory management. Required QualificationsTypically 5–7+ years of progressive professional experience in a relevant fieldStrong understanding of orthopedic and/or surgical medical device sales processesUnderstanding of operating room protocol and sterile field requirementsAbility to interpret sales analytics, forecasting, and territory performance metricsStrong planning, organizational, and multitasking skillsStrong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong presentation and public speaking skillsStrong interpersonal and conflict resolution skillsAbility to build partnerships across all levels of the organization and externally Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related discipline or global equivalentMaster’s degree or global equivalent (preferred)Relevant industry certifications Travel & Work EnvironmentTravel up to 75% of the timeRemote role based in the Chicago, IL areaAbility to lift 25–30 pounds of instrumentation with or without reasonable accommodationWhy Join TriMedAt TriMed, you’ll be part of a high-performing, customer-focused sales organization supporting meaningful medical device products.
