Job Description: Job Title: RedBox Rx Pharmacy Technician - Certified Department: RedBox Rx FLSA: Non-Exempt General Function Process prescription orders from RedBox Rx providers and assist customers with visit and treatment related inquiries. Reporting Relations Accountable and Reports to: President, RedBox Rx; Pharmacy Manager, RedBox Rx; Pharmacists Positions that Report to you: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities Assists RedBox Rx customers via phone and email. Creates new patient profiles for patients. Performs prescription data entry. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities Works with co-workers as a team to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and facility policies. Performs other related job duties and special projects as required. Handles inquiries that do not require a pharmacist’s expertise and judgment. Assists in adherence to quality assurance standards. Adheres to all statutes and regulations pertaining to a pharmacy technician. Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Certified as a licensed technician through a certified national program and maintains continuing education requirements to keep license active. Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy clerk is preferred. Physical Requirements Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near and far range with or without correction. Must be able to physically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, reaching, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must have the ability to do logical or scientific thinking to solve problems; several abstract and concrete variables. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving arithmetic, algebraic and geometric calculations Ability to work in a fast paced environment, assisting in the preparation of accurate prescriptions. Must be able to compose original correspondence; follow technical manuals; have increased contact with people; interview counsel or advise people; evaluate technical data. Working Conditions This position frequently involves a fast work pace in an office setting. Must be able to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis.
