We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineering lead to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the excellence of our technical support operations. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our technical support capabilities, improving documentation, and collaborating closely with the engineering manager and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Vulnerability Assessment and Management
ā¢ * Conduct regular vulnerability scanning using industry standard tools.
ā¢ Ingest vulnerability reports for analysis.
ā¢ Initiate device patching for discovered vulnerabilities.
ā¢ Create manual patching scripts for vulnerabilities as needed.
ā¢ Test developed patches in controlled/sandboxed environments.
ā¢ Research newly discovered vulnerabilities and assess their potential impact.
ā¢ Prioritize remediation efforts to meet company expectations and service level agreements.
Red Team Engagements
ā¢ * Assist with vulnerability exploitation recommendations during Red Team operations.
ā¢ Assist with security assessments during Red Team operations.
ā¢ Assist with validating security controls during Red Team operations.
ā¢ Reporting
ā¢ * Create professional reports and/or dashboards for all vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts.
ā¢ Be able to discuss vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts for both executive and technical audiences.
Collaboration
ā¢ Work with members of the SOC and NOC to support ongoing vulnerability remediation efforts.
ā¢ Support audit and compliance activities related to vulnerability scanning and remediation.
ā¢ Work with colleagues to improve skills needed for the advancement of overall Red Team goals.
Job Specifications
Required
ā¢ 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management, security assessments, or a related role.
ā¢ Experience with vulnerability management platforms such as Qualys, VSA, and Tanium.
ā¢ Familiarity with CVSS, CVE, and other vulnerability scoring/risk rating systems.
ā¢ Familiarity with security frameworks.
ā¢ Familiarity with patch management and system hardening processes and procedures.
ā¢ Strong scripting experience.
ā¢ Strong attention to detail.
ā¢ Strong time management and organizational skills.
Certifications
ā¢ Security+ (Required)
ā¢ Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) (Preferred)
ā¢ CompTIA Pentest+ (Preferred)
ā¢ Vendor-specific certifications or training certificates for vulnerability management platforms such as Qualys, VSA, and Tanium (Preferred)
Optional / Desired
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
ā¢ Azure Gov Cloud and Office 365 GCC/GCCH experience.
