Recurring Remote Production Support - Production Coordinator
The Remote Production Support - Production Coordinator assists the day-to-day operation of on-site productions, supporting logistics and elements for a group of assigned shows or sport properties. This person is the cohesive liaison between many departments and crews. Organization and communicating effectively in a fast-paced setting, while fostering a team environment is key for this position. This role is remote-based without a corporate office location.
Responsibilities
Ā Works in conjunction with Operations Department to assist with on-site logistics at Remote Events.
Ā Applies basic creative, analytical and organizational skills to assist various areas of assigned productions.
Ā Organizes and distributes show production elements and materials (i.e. Sales, graphics and promotional information).
Ā Acts as liaison for assigned sport/show categories between Production, other ESPN departments and outside entities.
Ā Supports staff and remote Talent, Producers, Directors... Graphics/Playback Producers, Associate Directors, Associate Producers, Content Associates and Production Assistants on the systematic processes of assigned sport/show unit.
Ā Provides objective feedback on performance to personnel.
Ā Oversight and management of runner, make-up and transportation schedules on site at events/games.
Ā Assist in organizing team meetings for assigned sport/show units.
Ā Liaison to various internal ESPN departments and external entities on planning aspects of productions.
Ā Interface with alternate ESPN platforms to convey production strategies and approaches.
Ā Responsible for updating and distributing production information related to assigned sport/show units.
Basic Qualifications
Ā Possesses basic understanding of the production of remote events.
Ā Has knowledge of the operational and logistical aspects of production planning.
Ā Has basic experience in various aspects of production management (i.e., creating, maintaining and distributing production information, travel management, production personnel scheduling/staffing).
Ā Must possess strong communication skills (i.e. clear and concise in all forms of communication, ability to handle high-volume email and phone traffic as well as in-person interactions).
Ā Must possess strong organizational skills (i.e. budgeting time and prioritizing workload, accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, ability to implement systematic processes and organize information flow).
Ā Demonstrates ability to take initiative; suggests ideas and solutions to problems that arise or before they occur.
Ā Must understand the value of synergy in a dynamic organization.
Ā Has demonstrated ability to react quickly and positively under a wide variety of sensitive production situations that arise and are subject to continual change.
Ā Has advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ā Typically, incumbent has 2 to 5 years of production and/or operations experience.
Ā Travel required.
Ā Valid Driver's License is required
Ā Must be able to work night, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
Ā Financial management experience.
Ā Prior project management experience.
