RECOVERY ANALYST (HYBRID OPTION)

The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is the backbone of California’s health care safety net. They are seeking a Recovery Analyst to recover funds on behalf of Medi-Cal for members involved in personal injury actions, maintaining an ongoing caseload and collaborating with various stakeholders. Responsibilities Recover funds on behalf of Medi-Cal for members involved in personal injury actions Maintain an ongoing caseload and recover funds owed to Medi-Cal Skills Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, particularly MS Excel Knowledge of the Medi-Cal Program, insurance claims, and/or medical billing or records Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail, particularly large sets of data Strong time management and multitasking skills Strong written and oral communication skills Comfortable speaking live with stakeholders via telephone or other means of communication Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team Innovative thinker Experience reviewing and interpreting procedures, policies, statutes, regulations, and/or legal documents Accounting, data reconciliation, and/or fiscal forecasting experience Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn Excellent customer service skills Excellent attendance and punctuality Benefits Continuous and ongoing training Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program activities Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Medical, including health, dental, and vision insurance.
