Real Assets Associate

Cerity Partners is seeking a full-time Associate to join the Real Assets team within their OCIO group. The Associate will play a critical role in managing and investing client portfolios with a primary focus on the Real Assets component, providing exposure to both private and public markets.ResponsibilitiesProactively assist senior staff with the investment function – sourcing primary and secondary fund opportunities, direct co-investments, executing due diligence processes on new investments, developing and maintaining models and spreadsheets, and assisting with general portfolio management responsibilitiesAssist in managing existing investments and generating analysis on client portfoliosConduct specialized research on industry trends and specific investment strategiesCreate/update models to help track various internal data including – investment pipelines, client returns, client cash flows, and risk informationAttend annual meetings and conferences and develop a network of outside investment professionals to help the Cerity Partners team with due diligence and industry intelligenceSupport business development activities of the FirmAssume ownership of various ad-hoc projectsSkillsUndergraduate or Graduate business degree with a strong academic track record1-3 years of work experience in financial services; asset management experience a plusUnderstanding of capital markets, investment theory and practice, and the investment management industryAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skillsStrong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and WordPositive outlook, attention to detail, and strong work ethicComfortable with global business travelCFA designation, or progress towards CFA credentials, is strongly preferredBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with a 4% matchCompany OverviewCerity Partners is a financial services company specializes in banking,finance and personal loan.
