Job Summary

MNC JOBS INFO, on behalf of Rainey Property Management, is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Property Accountant to join our team remotely in Florida. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting processes for a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in property accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
• *

Manage day-to-day accounting functions for multiple properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• *

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company standards.
• *

Perform bank reconciliations, rent roll reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• *

Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• *

Maintain accurate and up-to-date property accounting records.
• *

Collaborate with property managers and regional teams to ensure financial alignment and accuracy.
• *

Prepare and review CAM reconciliations, lease abstracts, and tenant billing.
• *

Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and internal policies.
• *

Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors or management.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• *

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• *

Solid understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles.
• *

Strong proficiency in accounting software (Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms preferred).
• *

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• *

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• *

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• *

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• *

Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a remote setting.
• Experience
• *

Minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or real estate financial management.
• *

Experience with multi-family or commercial real estate portfolios is highly preferred.
• *

Prior experience in remote or hybrid work environments is a plus.
• Working Hours
• *

Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST
• *

Occasional flexibility may be required during financial close periods or audits.
