Radiology Tech Student

They are seeking a Radiology Tech Student who will perform imaging procedures under supervision, emphasizing patient safety and technical competency while receiving hands-on clinical training. Responsibilities Performs imaging procedures under supervision, ensuring patient safety and care quality Reviews patient history and physician's orders; prepares equipment and selects appropriate imaging parameters Follows radiation safety and infection control guidelines Assists with patient positioning, shielding, and education before and during procedures Monitors and reports patient condition changes; analyzes image quality and routes for radiologist interpretation Operates imaging and PACS equipment; reports malfunctions appropriately Maintains accurate documentation according to facility standards Participates in quality improvement, equipment maintenance, and restocking of supplies Administers contrast media when ordered and within scope of practice Performs additional related duties within scope of practice as assigned Skills Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association required within time frame required by facility policy No prior experience required Fluent in English; additional languages preferred Education Requirements High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required Company Overview ScionHealth strives to provide quality-driven, patient-centered acute and post-acute hospital solutions in communities.
