Quantitative Developer - Python | Hedge Fund | New York | $400k TC
We are working with a global hedge fund seeking a Quant Developer to join their New York team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in computer science, exceptional Python skills and proven experience within a systematic trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Design, develop and optimise trading systems, research platforms and tools supporting systematic investment strategies.
ā¢ Collaborate closely with Quant Researchers and Traders to implement production-grade code and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
ā¢ Work on data integration, performance tuning and ensuring low-latency, high-throughput execution.
ā¢ Leverage strong computer science fundamentals to solve complex engineering challenges across the trading stack.
Key Requirements
ā¢ 5-7 years' experience as a Quant Developer / Software Engineer (flexible on range).
ā¢ Expertise in Python with a track record of delivering high-quality, production-ready code.
ā¢ Prior experience in a systematic trading / financial markets environment is required.
ā¢ Solid understanding of relational databases.
ā¢ Desirable: C# development experience, and knowledge of messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
ā¢ Strong problem-solving skills, CS fundamentals and ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
Compensation
ā¢ Highly competitive total compensation around $400,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
