About the position

The Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for analyzing, developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical quality improvement initiatives to achieve optimal health outcomes. This fully remote role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to support quality assurance programs, conduct audits, investigate care complaints, and ensure compliance with state and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and healthcare services.
,
• Support the implementation of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) work plan and related projects.
,
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of committee and subcommittee meetings.
,
• Investigate and resolve member quality of care concerns and complaints.
,
• Audit medical records to track performance metrics, monitor trends, and identify risk management issues, including sentinel events.
,
• Ensure adherence to state and federal quality improvement requirements.

Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years in clinical, quality management, or healthcare-related roles.
,
• At least 1 year of experience in a quality function within a healthcare setting.
,
• AS, BS or accredited certifications in program(s) related to Nursing.
,
• Background in healthcare office settings (doctor's office, dentist office, hospitals, labs).
,
• Medical billing/coding experience.
,
