Our #1 focus is a phenomenal experience for our customers and partners, evidenced in our growing financial product adoption.LocationThis position will be based in the Philippines.Summary of Role The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the review and close-out of milestone packages (project documents, photos and design details)for Palmetto’s Third Party Ownership product. The primary objective of the role is to drive high quality standards of Palmetto owned assets and to clarify necessary remediations to ensure strong portfolio health (systems that can last for 25 years!). They will also review solar monitoring platforms to verify they are created accurately, and confirm the estimated production of sold systems meets the installed design. With daily project throughput review, they will ensure project milestone approvals and rejections are actioned in a timely manner, with clear communication to external partners. They will support the LightReach division to gather data to drive partner accountability and establish a culture of quality for the organization. In addition to the desktop project review, there are specific programs which have a site inspection aspect which requires physically accessing the project site to assess workmanship, both structurally and electrically, to ensure quality standards and provide feedback to Certified Installers.Strategic & TacticalReview installation photos and job close out documentationReview design material, and verify sold production to physical installationReview solar monitoring sites, layout, and registered productProvide clear and concise kickback reasoning for rejected packagesResolve closeout package kickbacks for fast resubmittal turnaround timesRemain current on install material and methods, product trainings and integration of new productsSupport installation best practices, customer site profile creations, and customer satisfactionHandle incoming chat or ticket systems for expedient kickback resolutionIdentify trends or patterns with partners and drive remediation recommendations Contribute to partner calls with new and existing operations teams to drive education and best practices in order to drive up M1 & M2 pass ratesPerform and document site inspections as prescribed under specific programs, accessing roofs and electrical equipmentQualifications2-4 years of experience in a technical or construction based solar roleExperience with interdepartmental problem solving or project managementExperience in photovoltaic design preferredExcellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with and influence 3rd partiesExcellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.Excellent analytical skillsExperience with standard business tools such as G-Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.Ability to climb ladders, access and work on rooftops, including in varying weather conditionsAbility to stand, kneel, or bend down for extended periods during inspectionsAdhere to field safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing work in the fieldValid driver’s license and clean driving recordEmployment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
