QA Engineer (Manual) - Contract

Remote Full-time
Role Description
We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer on a 6–9 month contract to join our Strategic Workforce Planning product team. Our SWP platform combines internal workforce insights with real-time global labour market data — it’s a complex, data-rich B2B product used by HR and strategy teams worldwide. You’ll be working closely with developers, BAs, and PMs in a fully remote, English- and Ukrainian-speaking team.

What You’ll Do
• Analyse requirements and user stories; catch gaps and inconsistencies before development starts.
• Design and maintain test documentation: test cases, checklists, and bug reports.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across the SWP platform.
• Test REST APIs using Postman; use browser DevTools for front-end debugging.
• Log, track, and verify bugs in Jira; participate in triage with the development team.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Communicate test progress and quality status to the team clearly and proactively.

What You’ll Bring
Required
• 1–3 years of hands-on manual QA experience on commercial software projects.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Practical experience writing test cases, checklists, and bug reports.
• Working knowledge of Postman for API testing.
• Comfort with browser DevTools for basic front-end debugging.
• Experience with Jira for bug tracking and task management.
• Analytical mindset — you think beyond happy paths and ask the right questions.
• Upper-Intermediate English for daily written and spoken communication.
• Proactive attitude — you flag risks early, suggest improvements, and don’t wait to be
told what to test next.
• Comfortable owning your area end-to-end: from requirements review to release
sign-off.

Nice to Have
• Basic SQL for data verification.
• Familiarity with test automation concepts (we plan to introduce automation).
• Experience in B2B SaaS, HRM, or workforce/HR-tech domains.

What We Offer
• Fully remote work — work from anywhere.
• Flexible schedule — we care about results, not hours.
• English and Ukrainian working environment.

We’re an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered without attention to
race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or
disability status.
