QA Engineer (Junior) (Remote,Contract)
Time zones: EST (UTC -5), MST (UTC -7), ART (UTC -3), UTC -4, UTC -4:30, UTC -3, UTC -2 We’re currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities • Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through our tracking system. • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and ensure consistent project execution. • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies. • Contribute to the development and follow-up of quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts. • Participate in design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems. Qualifications • Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role. • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing. • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools is a plus. • Solid understanding of SQL and scripting. • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject, or equivalent practical experience.
