QA Engineer (Hybrid in Sunrise FL)
About the position
The QA Engineer position at Motion Recruitment Partners involves performing software quality assurance and testing for a global leader in financial services and travel-related solutions. The role emphasizes the use of industry-leading methodologies and tools to ensure software meets high standards for performance, reliability, and security. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence in Sunrise, FL for three days a week, and focuses on continuous improvement and collaboration within Agile teams.
Responsibilities
• Design and execute software quality assurance plans, scripts, and procedures
,
• Review requirement specifications to identify defects and improve performance, scalability, and security
,
• Create and maintain test data and environments to support software testing
,
• Monitor defects and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution
,
• Apply best practices in quality assurance to improve overall product quality
,
• Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver tested, high-quality software products
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field
,
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in quality assurance and testing
,
• At least 1 year of experience with test-driven development and various forms of automated testing (unit, functional, integration, regression, etc.)
,
• Experience preparing automation test frameworks
,
• Proficient in writing test scenarios and cases, running functional and performance tests, and monitoring defects
,
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, particularly Agile
,
• Experience with tools and technologies including Eclipse, HP Quick Test Professional, Java, Maven, Oracle, relational databases, Selenium, SQL, and XML
