QA Development Tester (Contract)

Torn Banner Studios is an independent game development studio dedicated to creating unique gaming experiences. They are seeking a QA Development Tester to work closely with developers to ensure the quality of game features from concept to release, including executing test cases, writing bugs, and providing feedback on features in development.ResponsibilitiesExecute test cases to a level that provides respective departments with confidence that a feature or update is ready for shippingMaintain a high written quality of bugsCollaborate with other Testers on daily smoke tests to provide a pulse check on development healthPerform regression testing on fixed bugs, and exploratory testing on new changes to identify new issues and unexpected knock-onsCommunicate actively with developers and our Community team to reproduce issues encountered during internal and external playtestsProvide constructive feedback on features in development, contributing to the final designSkillsExperience as a QA Tester working on an active game project, with the ideal candidate having shipped at least 1 titleStrong bug writing skills and understanding of best practicesUnderstanding of core QA concepts such as the bug life cycleFamiliarity with Jira or other issue tracking softwareFamiliarity with Testrail or another test management toolStrong ability to work as a member of a teamAble to quickly transition between different tasks and projectsFamiliarity with PC and console multiplayer gamesEager to learn new skillsPrevious experience with multiplayer/network testingPrevious experience with testing on console platformsProfessional experience in beta testing or patch testing with live gamesExperience with art pipelines and with testing character art and UI/UX in gamesBenefitsSummer Fridays as paid days off (4-day work week in July & August)Flexible schedule and work location, with your choice of remote, hybrid, or on-site.Company OverviewIndepedent videogame studio, creators of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, and Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior.
