QA Automation Engineer/ SAP Analytics Cloud/ Remote

They are seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a contract engagement focused on quality engineering across a multi-platform analytics and data cloud environment. This is a fully contract role with a strong emphasis on modern automated testing across UI, API, and backend layers. Contract Duration: 6 - 12 Months Required Skills & Experience • Playwright for UI and end-to-end automated test development • Java for test scripting and automation framework work • Cloud experience in AWS environments • Git for version control and collaborative development workflows • Experience building or expanding automated test coverage from low baselines • Hands-on experience with API testing and backend/database validation • Familiarity integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines Desired Skills & Experience • Experience in regulated, government, or national security environments • Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud or similar enterprise analytics platforms • Knowledge of release management workflows and quality gates • Experience with cloud-native data platforms or data warehousing tools • Background in reducing reliance on manual QA through strategic automation planning What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown • 50% Playwright / Java Automated Test Development • 25% API & Backend/Database Testing • 25% CI/CD Pipeline Integration & Test Maintenance Daily Responsibilities • 60% Hands On - writing, executing, and maintaining automated tests across UI, API, and database layers • 20% Team Collaboration - partnering with engineering to validate features prior to release • 20% Planning & Strategy - identifying automation gaps and building out coverage roadmap
