The QA Analyst will analyze requirements and technical specifications, conduct various types of testing, and assist in the development of test plans and documentation to ensure project goals are met.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze our requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications to develop understanding of project goalsComplete multiple test types, including functional, integration, system, regression, user acceptance, and compatibility testing across different platforms, browsers, and devicesAssist QA Leads in creating comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts to support project deliverablesMaintain clear, well-structured test documentation to support repeatability and knowledge sharingIdentify, document, and prioritize issues discovered during testing; ensure defects are logged with reproducible steps, supporting evidence (screenshots, logs, service requests/responses), and detailed impact assessmentsTrack defect lifecycle from identification through resolution, collaborating with developers and project teams to validate fixesProvide feedback to project managers, business analysts, and partners on test progress, results, and risksSupport root cause analysis and help guide process improvements to prevent recurring issuesParticipate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective sessions as part of an Agile delivery teamPartner with developers, UX designers, technical leads, and program managers to agree on quality expectations and testing prioritiesProvide input during requirements and design discussions to ensure testability, clarity, and agreement on acceptance criteriaCommunicate complex technical and quality-related issues for all partnersContribute to projects aimed at improving QA processes, efficiency, and consistency of deliverablesAssist QA Leads and Automation Engineers in developing automated test cases and scenarios, ensuring they complement manual testing effortsStay informed about latest technologies and industry best practices in QA, accessibility, and automationSupport accessibility and compliance testing efforts aligned with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 1 year of hands-on QA experience in testing software applicationsExperience testing across multiple platforms, including web, mobile web, and native mobile applicationsExperience with QA methodologies, testing techniques, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Familiarity with cross-browser testing tools, web service validation, and log inspection methodsISTQB or equivalent QA certification (passed)Experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, C#) or scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Ruby)Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or SitecoreProficiency in database queries, database testing, and API/web service testingFamiliarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and accessibility testing toolsExposure to automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Appium)Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum development teamsBenefitsMedical, vision, and dental insuranceLife insuranceShort-term and long-term disability insurance401kFlexible paid time offAt least 15 paid holidays per yearPaid sick and safe leavePaid parental leaveCompany OverviewMerkle is a customer relationship management agency that designs, executes and evaluates integrated marketing programs.
