Public Relations Specialist
Role OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and strategic PR Specialist to design, execute, and continuously refine our public relations strategy. This role will play a critical part in shaping our brand narrative, increasing media visibility, and strengthening our reputation across key audiences. The ideal candidate is both a strong storyteller and a disciplined strategist who can translate business objectives into high-impact PR campaigns.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic PR DevelopmentDevelop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy aligned with company goals and brand positioningIdentify key narratives, messaging frameworks, and thought leadership opportunitiesSupport product launches, company announcements, partnerships, and executive visibilityMedia RelationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencersPitch stories, secure media coverage, and manage press inquiriesCreate and maintain targeted media lists by industry, geography, and topicContent & MessagingWrite and edit press releases, media pitches, talking points, FAQs, and bylined articlesEnsure consistent messaging across all PR and external communicationsCollaborate with marketing and leadership to refine brand voice and positioningCampaign Execution & MeasurementPlan and manage PR campaigns from concept to executionTrack coverage, sentiment, share of voice, and campaign performancePrepare regular PR reports and insights with actionable recommendationsReputation & Issues ManagementMonitor media coverage and brand mentionsSupport crisis communications planning and response when neededHelp proactively identify and mitigate reputational risks
Qualifications
Required3–6+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or related roleProven track record of securing earned media coverageExcellent writing, editing, and storytelling skillsStrong understanding of media landscapes and PR best practicesAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
PreferredExperience developing PR strategy for B2B, B2C, or tech-driven organizationsExisting media relationships in relevant industriesFamiliarity with PR tools (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater)Experience supporting executive or thought leadership communications
