COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
• Salary: Starting salary of $36,500 per year, with the possibility of increase based on experience and performance evaluations.

SKILLS:
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist clients falling under our Company’s set priorities with appropriate attorney supervision
• Provide paraprofessional legal services in civil, family, and other cases, adhering to program guidelines and under attorney supervision
• Engage in outreach and community legal education initiatives
• Conduct intake, screening, and referral processes
• Investigate and develop assigned cases and projects, including conducting interviews
• Draft legal documents and correspondence
• Maintain accurate case records and files
• Develop specialized skills and knowledge in assigned areas
• Provide translation assistance if applicable
• Participate in training programs, staff meetings, and activities
• Report caseload statistics and advocacy activities
• Travel as required for job responsibilities
• Stay updated on changes in the law affecting our Company’s client population
• Make referrals to social service agencies and other relevant resources
• Represent clients at hearings

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate’s Degree and paralegal certification preferred
• Previous experience in legal services or public interest preferred
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and integrity
• Fluency in Spanish preferred
• Willingness to engage in occasional work-related travel
• Excellent attendance record

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
• Paralegal certification from an accredited program preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous experience in legal services or public interest is preferred
• Experience conducting client intake, interviews, and case management is a plus
