Public Finance Project Coordinator

Chapman and Cutler LLP is seeking a highly analytical Public Finance Project Coordinator to join the Public Finance Department in their Chicago office. The role involves supporting local government securities transactions through data analysis, document management, and coordination tasks in a dynamic legal environment.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the preparation of municipal securities public offering documents and secondary market disclosures by compiling financial, demographic and other quantitative data into spreadsheets and other documentsAnalyze and interpret financial and legal information from various sources to support public finance transactionsPrepare, edit, and format documents with precision, ensuring compliance with issuer client, attorney and securities law specificationsTrack, obtain, organize, and maintain source documents and data from clients and third-party professionals for use in the preparation of spreadsheets and reports, ensuring records and document management systems are up-to-date and compliant with established proceduresCalendar production schedule deadlines and proactively prepare documents in advance for review by supervising attorneys and other professionals on the legal teamCoordinate with team members and external parties to meet client deadlines and securities laws filing requirementsCommunicate effectively with issuer clients, investment bank deal participants and supervising attorneys via telephone and e-mailKeep supervising attorneys and other municipal disclosure professionals informed of the status of all workSkillsBachelor's or associate's degreeProficiency in MS Word and ExcelStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret and synthesize complex informationExcellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesOutstanding communication and organizational skillsTeamwork and customer service orientationCommitment to following all Firm security protocols and maintaining information securityCompany OverviewChapman is a law firm focused on finance.
