Your Role at Backpack Healthcare
As a part-time PMHNP, you will:
Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis


Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth


Formulate accurate, evidence-based diagnoses


Treatment Planning & Medication Management


Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families


Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications


Monitor effectiveness and adjust treatment as needed


Provide brief supportive therapy and psychoeducation


Integrated Care Collaboration


Partner with therapists and care teams to ensure coordinated treatment


Participate in interdisciplinary case consultations


Documentation & Compliance


Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EHR


Uphold all ethical and professional standards



✅ What We’re Looking For


Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program


Active, unrestricted Maryland PMHNP license & DEA


Board Certification (PMHNP-BC)


Experience with or passion for working with youth and families


Strong clinical judgment and communication skills


Comfort practicing in a telehealth environment
