Position Overview
The Remote Provider Data Entry Specialist is a critical member of careerzynith’s Provider Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate entry, validation, and maintenance of provider demographic and contract information within our sophisticated health‑plan system. Your meticulous attention to detail will directly influence claims adjudication speed, financial accuracy, and overall provider satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Entry

Receive, review, and process provider information received from external sources, ensuring completeness and compliance with careerzynith standards.
Enter provider demographic, credentialing, and contract affiliation data into the careerzynith provider management system with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Perform routine audits of newly loaded provider records to verify data integrity, resolve discrepancies, and maintain high‑quality standards.
Document audit findings and provide constructive feedback to internal teams and external partners.


System Integration & Testing

Collaborate with IT and implementation teams to support system‑wide integration projects, ensuring provider data aligns with new platform requirements.
Participate in functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post‑implementation validation activities.
Identify and report system bugs or workflow inefficiencies, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.


Training & Knowledge Transfer

Develop and deliver training materials for new hires and existing staff on provider data entry procedures, system navigation, and compliance protocols.
Serve as a subject‑matter expert, answering day‑to‑day queries and providing mentorship to junior team members.
Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge base that reflects changes in regulatory requirements, careerzynith policies, and industry best practices.


Compliance & Confidentiality

Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations, careerzynith privacy policies, and all applicable managed‑care organization (MCO) guidelines.
Ensure that all provider data is handled with the highest level of confidentiality and security.
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality according to the agreed‑upon schedule (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM PST).


Essential Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; additional coursework in health administration, medical coding, or related fields is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 1 + year of experience in a managed‑care environment, medical office setting, or provider credentialing role.
Technical Skills: Proven ability to navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems, provider portals, and data entry platforms with speed and accuracy.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with HIPAA, ACA, and other healthcare compliance standards.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly to internal teams and external providers.
Attention to Detail: Demonstrated track record of delivering error‑free data entry and conducting thorough quality checks.


Preferred Qualifications & Additional Assets

Experience with medical coding (ICD‑10, CPT) or credentialing software such as CAQH, Availity, or similar platforms.
Certification in Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is advantageous.
Prior exposure to claims adjudication processes and understanding of how provider data impacts reimbursement cycles.
