About the position
The Protective Intelligence Research Analyst at American Express plays a crucial role in analyzing and assessing threats to the company's executives, colleagues, and assets globally. This position involves gathering, analyzing, and producing actionable intelligence to support informed decision-making across various levels of the organization. The analyst will work closely with key stakeholders to enhance operational readiness and provide critical insights into potential threats.
Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance priority intelligence requirements aligned with stakeholder needs.

Leverage OSINT and proprietary information to create written intelligence products.

Support protective intelligence investigations involving threats to leaders and facilities.
,
Produce and present threat assessments and briefings that are cohesive and professional.
,
Build and maintain partnerships with key teams/functions within the company.
,
Interact rapidly at all levels of the organization to provide subject matter expertise on threats.

Provide after-hours support as required.
Requirements
10 years' experience in a large mission-critical environment in executive protection, criminal justice, intelligence, security, or related disciplines.
,
Previous experience with FBI BAU, US Secret Service, or similar organizations preferred.
,
Direct Intelligence Community (IC) experience, IC cleared.
,
In-depth understanding of threats affecting executives and corporate assets.
,
Working knowledge in executive protection, federal law enforcement, and related areas.
,
Experience with threat intelligence sharing communities in both IC and private sector.
,
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
,
Advanced understanding of investigative techniques and threat-based intelligence analysis.
,
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analytic writing and interpersonal skills.
,
Experience in data visualization and structured analytic techniques.
,
Ability to assess the significance and reliability of information.
,
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
