Position Summary AITS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Proposal Coordinator to support the development and submission of compliant, high-quality proposals for federal government opportunities. This role is responsible for coordinating proposal activities, managing schedules and deliverables, and ensuring adherence to solicitation requirements. The Proposal Coordinator will work closely with technical subject matter experts, leadership, and partners to support multiple concurrent proposal efforts. This position is ideal for an early-career professional seeking to grow into a Proposal Manager role within the federal contracting environment. Key Responsibilities Support the full proposal lifecycle across multiple simultaneous efforts Review solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) to identify compliance requirements and submission instructions Develop and maintain proposal schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices Coordinate inputs from technical teams, management, pricing, and subcontractors Track proposal deliverables and ensure timely completion of all volumes Format, edit, and standardize proposal content for consistency and compliance Manage version control and maintain proposal files, templates, and reusable content Support color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) and incorporate feedback Prepare final proposal packages for submission via government portals (e.g., SAM.gov, eBuy, PIEE) or email Ensure all submissions meet solicitation requirements and deadlines Assist in maintaining proposal processes, tools, and best practices Required Qualifications 1–3 years of experience supporting federal proposals, technical writing, or project coordination Familiarity with the federal proposal lifecycle Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and quality control Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to work independently and collaborate across distributed teams Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting DoD or federal civilian agency proposals Familiarity with compliance matrices and structured proposal processes Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or proposal management tools Basic understanding of FAR/DFARS Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain Core Competencies Organization and time management Attention to detail Communication and coordination Adaptability in deadline-driven environments Team collaboration Growth Opportunity This role provides a pathway to advancement into a Proposal Manager position.
