Job Summary:

The Property Management Systems Specialist will assist our software users with technical support, troubleshooting, analyzing issues, and finding solutions.

This includes addressing assigned support tickets, general admin duties, assisting with implementing new policies, assisting with the implementation of software modules, setting up new properties in coordination with the development and compliance teams, along with any other related tasks. The prospective candidate will be organized, have great troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, and possess the ability to communicate with clients via e-mail, telephone, and through the ticketing system.

Reports To:

The Property Management Systems Specialist reports to the Director of Property Management Systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Manage Help Desk ticket queue to prioritize requests and provide support in a timely manner while giving priority to high-impact, portfolio-wide optimization, and reporting.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Keep up to date with modules and updates by attending trainings and conferences.
• Resource for management or interdepartmental questions and requests.
• Escalate unresolved issues directly with Software support, while obtaining additional knowledge to self-resolve.
• Work with Operations, Development, Compliance, and other relevant departments to set up new properties in the software.
• Be a subject matter expert on company policy and processes and be able to explain/demonstrate to users of Property Management System.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong work ethic and outstanding written and spoken communication skills.
• Previous Multifamily affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Ability to be a self-starter and be comfortable with remote work, and willing to commute to Columbus, OH office on occasion.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Affordable housing program experience is a plus.
• Experience with Yardi, RealPage, or other Property Management Systems preferred.

Physical Requirements:
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.
