Property Claims Associate Trainee | Remote
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To assist with processing first party property contents claims.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES
• Learning claims process through assisting the team working towards becoming proficient and licensed at which time there may be opportunity for growth to manage own claims.
• Assist with processing personal line property claims and ensures claim files are properly documented and coded correctly based on the policy.
• Maintains action plans to ensure state required contact deadlines are met and to move the file towards prompt and appropriate resolution; escalates issues as needed.
• Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client and agent or broker when appropriate.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality program(s).
• Travels as required.
Qualifications
Education & Licensing
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Designated Home State All Lines License to be obtained within 9 months of employment. Sedgwick will cover the cost of study materials and first 3 attempts.
Experience
• Experience in a fast paced environment, multitasking, working with different databases, and typing skills.
• Claims industry or General Office experience preferred.

• Oral and written communication skills
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
• Strong organizational skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a virtual team environment
• Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
