Property & Casualty Insurance Agent

Remote Full-time
Job Title: Property & Casualty Insurance Agent (STRICTLY COMMISSION)

Company: Geneva Insurance Group Location: Illinois / Remote (as applicable)

Overview

Geneva Insurance Group is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Property & Casualty Insurance Agent to join our modern, independent agency. We were founded on the principle of simplicity—believing that getting the right protection shouldn't be complicated. In this role, you will engage with clients to understand their unique risk profiles, provide tailored "modern solutions," and build lasting relationships based on transparency and trust.

As an independent broker, you will have the ability to shop the market, helping clients save an average of 20% while securing better coverage. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sales expertise, and a passion for helping clients protect their future without the jargon. Bilingual abilities and experience in outside sales are highly valued to effectively serve our diverse customer base in Illinois and beyond.

Duties
• Consultative Sales: Provide personalized Property & Casualty insurance consultations (Auto, Home, Commercial), explaining policy options, coverage limits, and exclusions clearly to ensure client peace of mind.
• Market Analysis: Utilize analysis skills to assess client needs and shop across our network of reputable carriers to recommend the most appropriate and cost-effective insurance products.
• Client Acquisition: Conduct outside sales efforts to identify and attract new clients, expanding the agency's portfolio in both personal and commercial lines.
• Negotiation: Negotiate terms and premiums with carriers and clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements that align with our "Client-Centric" philosophy.
• Sales Administration: Manage sales administration tasks using modern agency technology, including documentation, policy processing, and prompt follow-up communications.
• Marketing & Outreach: Engage in marketing activities to promote our "Insurance Protection, Simplified" message through various channels such as telemarketing, social media, or community outreach.
• Customer Retention: Maintain excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving claims issues promptly, and ensuring high client satisfaction and retention.
• Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations, state laws, and HIPAA standards while handling sensitive client information.
• Cross-Selling: Assist with benefits administration and cross-sell opportunities (such as Life Insurance or Specialty lines) to provide holistic financial security.

Requirements
• Experience: Proven experience in insurance sales (specifically Property & Casualty preferred), outside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing.
• Licensing: Active Property & Casualty insurance license (or willingness to obtain one immediately).
• Communication: Strong negotiation and communication skills to build rapport and explain complex insurance concepts with our signature "Clarity First" approach.
• Language Skills: Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse populations.
• Analytical Mindset: Excellent analysis skills to evaluate client needs and recommend suitable insurance products from multiple carriers.
• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with modern sales administration processes, CRM tools, and digital marketing strategies.
• Professionalism: Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor and unwavering integrity.
• Independence: Ability to work independently to build a book of business while maintaining a team-oriented approach.
