Proofreader (Greek)
We are looking for a detail-focused Greek (Cyprus) Proofreader to support short-term, remote document review assignments in a services environment. This contract position is based in California and offers project-based work expected to last 3 days per assignment, with an anticipated start date to be confirmed. The role is ideal for someone who can refine written content with accuracy, uphold language quality standards, and work independently while managing deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• Review Greek-language documents thoroughly to correct issues related to spelling, grammar, punctuation, and layout.
• Improve readability by checking that wording is accurate, natural, and appropriate for the intended audience.
• Apply project instructions consistently to preserve document quality and ensure alignment with established standards.
• Complete assigned proofreading tasks within required turnaround times for each contract project.
• Raise questions or flag concerns quickly to keep work moving efficiently and avoid delays.
• Handle confidential or sensitive materials responsibly while maintaining professionalism in a remote setting.
• At least 1 year of experience in proofreading, editing, or document review work.
• Business-level fluency in Greek with strong command of written grammar, usage, and punctuation.
• Demonstrated ability to identify language errors and maintain consistency across documents.
• Proficiency with proofreading workflows and standard productivity tools, including Google Workspace.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage short deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working remotely and communicating clearly about progress, issues, and completion status.
