Proofreader (Danish)
We are looking for a meticulous Proofreader to support short-term Contract assignments reviewing written materials in the Danish language. This remote opportunity is well suited for professionals who can deliver accurate content while working independently under tight timelines. The role focuses on language quality, consistency, and careful handling of project materials across fast-moving engagements.
Responsibilities
• Review multilingual documents for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and typographical accuracy before final delivery.
• Refine formatting and presentation to ensure each file follows project standards and reads clearly in the intended local language.
• Check content for consistency, completeness, and overall quality while preserving the original meaning of the material.
• Manage assigned work within the stated three-day project window and provide timely updates on progress or issues.
• Raise language questions, source inconsistencies, or unclear text promptly so projects stay on schedule.
• Handle confidential or sensitive information responsibly and maintain discretion throughout the assignment.
• Use Google Workspace and related digital tools to complete edits, track revisions, and collaborate remotely with the project team.
• At least 1 year of experience in proofreading, copy review, or a closely related language-focused role.
• Business-level fluency in Danish.
• Strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and written language conventions in the supported language(s).
• Demonstrated ability to spot errors quickly and maintain a high level of accuracy in detailed document review.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and comfort working in a fully remote environment.
• Ability to organize workload effectively and meet short project deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Sound judgment when working with private, proprietary, or otherwise sensitive documents.
