Project & Program Management III
The MPF team includes both the NPI & sustaining parts of the GCE business.
The MPF IaaS NPI team is accountable for the success of new product and feature introductions to enable capacity assurance in a timely, transparent and efficient manner. The MPF sustaining team is responsible for supply planning for current IaaS GCE products, including but not limited to metrics, reporting & insights, product capacity with SDM and fulfillment coordination, escalations, and interlocks. NPI team is responsible for 18M forecasting, ordering, onboarding, and additional program management activities for GCE NPIs through our partnerships with multiple teams. Our goals are to:
Make Product and Feature introductions easy and timely
Make entry into the CCP NPI process straightforward; provide visibility of NPI impact to the CCP team
Enable scalable tools to curate an accurate 18 month machine and financial forecast
Ensure capacity is in place with tooling ready and available to execute capacity management
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage Forecasting & Ordering capacity needed for NPI programs
Analyze and report cycle-over-cycle demand changes for Cloud Mass Market, Enterprise, and Infrastructure demand. Provide key customer level insights across these categories for relevant stakeholders. Build and improve reporting sources and dashboards based on analysis.
Conduct demand & supply management hygiene (including attenuation & judgment), strategize on a roadmap to mitigate hygiene risks, and implement necessary solutions to drive forecast accuracy.
Partner with cross-functional teams to update critical customer demands.
Support key demand workstreams, including process and system improvements.
Manage and track demand related program milestones, timeline, and overall deliverables.
Leverage metrics and KPIs to enhance and improve demand & supply management space.
Skills
Required:Ambitious, strong work ethic, proactive and team player - this is a top priority
Strong communication and project management skills - this is also a top priority
Highly proficient with Google Sheets, SQL, Scripting - this is also a top priority
Strong data analysis skills
Supply chain management, business, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar degree
Experience working with project management teams, resolving conflict, and meeting schedule timelines
Experience in collecting/validating data from multiple sources/teams for comprehensive view
Familiarity with demand planning, forecasting, ordering, or similar supply chain and/or capacity planning experience
Preferred but not required:Experience with process improvement
Specific experience at Google (if possible); we prefer candidates that have previous experience in Capacity, GIG, GCD, or HWOps
