Project Manager

They are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of projects within the Electrification and Automation business unit, requiring excellent coordination skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.ResponsibilitiesDirect all phases of projects from inception through completionManage the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the assigned project(s)Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedulesEffectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashionLead and drive multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams, including engineering, operations, vendor management, logistics and services to ensure successful project executionProvide regular updates to team, management, and PMO on work performed, plans, budget, and overall statusIdentify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specificationsProactive Risk identification and MitigationManage customer expectations across project cycle and lead single and multi-product medium voltage solutions projectsDirect diagnostics with the ability to determine root cause and corrective actionsSkillsBachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college1+ year of working with multi-disciplinary teams, including program management, services, engineering, operations, and logisticsMust have a valid US Driver's LicenseAbility to travel up to 20% (domestic and international)Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipBachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineeringExperience in the power distribution industry managing medium voltage portfoliosExpertise in Microsoft Office and specifically Microsoft ProjectBasic knowledge and understanding of power distribution; ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings and customer specificationsExperience in identifying and implementing cost savings measures within projectCommitment to develop, drive, and manage projects in a highly competitive marketExcellent written and verbal communication skills, to present complex issues to multi-level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external CustomersAbility to interpret and report results to senior management as well as customerDemonstrated ability in contract and change managementPMP certification is a plusPMP certification is required within 1 year of employmentCompany OverviewSiemens empowers customers to transform the industries that form the backbone of economies: industry, transportation, buildings and grids.
