Project Engineer (Controls & Analytics)

The role involves collaborating with project managers, maintaining PMIS platforms, and ensuring accurate implementation of project workflows and documentation.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the PMIS Implementation Manager to facilitate standardized set-up of new projects across the companyAssist in configuring and maintaining PMIS platforms, ensuring document control workflows, cost structures, schedules, and reporting tools are properly establishedInterpret contract documents to support accurate project startup and alignment with procedural requirementsCollaborate with project managers and field teams to establish implementation schedules, reporting templates, and project controls workflowsAssist with implementing cost control tools, budget structures, and tracking methods as directed by the Implementation Manager or project controls teamPrepare and facilitate project kickoff documentation, startup meetings, agendas, and action item trackingGather, validate, and organize project startup data to support dashboards, analytics, and reportingProvide project teams with guidance on PMIS navigation, workflows, and best practices and help promote consistent use of the systemContribute to ongoing improvements in digital processes, documentation standards, and PMIS configurationMaintain professional communication with internal stakeholders and external partners as needed for project startup and ongoing supportOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, data science, or related field is required, OR Bachelor's degree in Business Management, or related Technology Certifications and at least 3 years' related work experience is requiredMinimum 1 year of experience or internship in construction management or a related discipline is requiredAdvanced computer skills and data management proficiency is requiredWorking knowledge and experience in Kahua, Procore and similar PMIS platforms is requiredWillingness to learn advanced PMIS functions and support consistent system use across projects is requiredUnderstanding of roles and responsibilities between contractor, owner, designer, and construction manager are requiredKnowledge of construction cost and document management processes and best practices are requiredEffective verbal communication skills, including the ability to foster and maintain effective interpersonal relationships are requiredStrong written communication, scheduling, coordination, and documentation skills are requiredAbility to train new users of technology, including PMIS platforms is requiredProblem-solving skills and the ability to adjust based on user feedback is requiredAbility to work with support multiple project teams simultaneously is requiredCommitment to the values of Kitchell with attention to honesty and integrity, quality of work, client satisfaction, people development, profitability and managing change is requiredA valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, free from suspensions or restrictions is requiredKnowledge of construction processes, workflows, and contract structures Is preferredAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products is preferredExperience as an Administrator (Admin Role) of PMIS and data management platforms, such as Kahua, Procore and Power BI is preferredInterest or foundational experience in data analytics, dashboards, or analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) is preferredInterest in project controls, including cost, schedule, and performance reporting is preferredDemonstrated analytical thinking, initiative, teamwork, and follow-through is preferredConstruction Manager in Training (CMIT) certification is preferredBenefitsCompany performance bonusesDiscretionary stock optionsIncentive bonusesHealth and life insuranceHealth savings accounts (HSA) with wellness incentivesFlexible spending accounts (FSA)401(k) plans with a 4% company matchTuition reimbursementWeight loss programsDiscounted auto insuranceIdentity theft protectionRewards programsCompany OverviewKitchell is an construction facility providing company.
