Project Engineer

HF Rubber Machinery, Inc. has been engineering and building industry-leading rubber mixing machines for over 60 years, and they are seeking a Project Engineer to support their growing workload. The role involves supporting projects from concept through production, creating and revising engineering drawings, troubleshooting design challenges, and providing technical support.ResponsibilitiesSupport projects from concept through production, working closely with machinists, assemblers, technicians, and other engineersCreate, revise, and check engineering drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCADTroubleshoot design and manufacturing challenges and collaborate with production teams to resolve issuesMaintain accurate project documentation, including job files, engineering changes, and material information in the MRP systemProvide technical support for in-house work and subcontracted componentsParticipate in equipment evaluations, site visits, and customer support trips (approx. 5–10 trips per year; occasional international travel)Learn the full machine lifecycle—from design to manufacturing to assembly—and develop into a versatile engineering contributorSkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience)1–3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or mechanical environmentProficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCADAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentationUnderstanding of manufacturing processes, part design, and problem-solving methodsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailWillingness to travel for site visits, equipment evaluations, or project supportFamiliarity with SAP is helpfulBenefitsPaid Vacation & Sick Leave12 Paid HolidaysMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceCompany-paid Life & Disability Insurance401(k) with company matchStudent loan repayment assistanceWellness and employee support programsRelocation assistance availableCompany OverviewHF Rubber Machinery, Inc. is a member of the HF Mixing Group, owned by Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH of Freudenberg, Germany.
