Direct Hire

Join a highly respected engineering firm with deep roots in power generation and heavy industrial project delivery. From natural gas and oil-fired energy facilities to steam and power systems, pulp and paper, and chemical/pharmaceutical process plants—this is your chance to support complex, impactful projects through precise scheduling and project controls expertise.

We're hiring a Project Controls Scheduler to manage the engineering and construction schedules for large-scale industrial projects using Primavera P6, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across design, procurement, manufacturing, and construction.

What You’ll Do:
• Manage and update Primavera P6 project schedules across engineering and construction phases
• Coordinate with design, supply chain, manufacturing, and construction teams to optimize timelines
• Lead weekly updates and monthly project schedule review meetings
• Support BI and productivity tracking to inform schedule durations
• Contribute to proposal and study schedule development
• Prepare earned value, manpower, and installation progress reports
• Perform delay analysis and recovery planning
• Use Acumen Fuse, Power BI, and SQL for schedule analytics and reporting
• Assist in lessons learned and process improvement initiatives
• Travel to project sites as needed for schedule validation and team collaboration

Required Qualifications:
• ~ 5+ years of experience in Project Controls or Scheduling
• Proficient in Primavera P6
• Strong communicator and proactive collaborator
• Proven ability to meet deadlines on complex, multi-phase industrial projects
• Must have heavy industrial construction project experience

Preferred Skills:
• 4D scheduling experience
• Familiarity with InEight Estimating (formerly Hard Dollar)
• Experience with Acumen Fuse, Power BI, and SQL
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management

About the Company:

Headquartered in the Atlanta area with origins in Chattanooga, TN, this engineering firm specializes in power generation and energy infrastructure projects across the Southeast and beyond. They also serve clients in the pulp and paper, chemical process, and pharmaceutical industries. Although the company offers construction planning, they subcontract actual construction work—allowing their team to focus on engineering excellence and schedule integrity.

This is a growth-minded, mid-sized firm that values technical precision, proactive communication, and steady career development. Ideal for professionals seeking stability, impact, and ownership—not career job hoppers or late-career candidates.

Compensation & Schedule:
• Salary: ~ $85K–$125K, depending on experience + Relocation Assistance if needed
• Schedule: Mon–Thurs, 7–5 or 8–6
• Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
• Travel: Minimal
• Work Attire: Business Casual
• Overtime: Possible, paid accordingly

Hiring Process:
• Phone interview
• In-person interview
