About the position
As a Project Approval Underwriter II at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and approving financial projects, ensuring compliance with lending policies and guidelines. This position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for reviewing various financial documents and collaborating with internal teams to support the loan process.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Evaluate project appraisal budgets, questionnaires, financial statements, reserve studies, Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions, Offering Plans, Amendments, By-Laws, surveys, plat maps, Engineer Report, Environmental Assessments, Leasehold Agreements, Insurance Declarations and Policies, to determine acceptability with Chase lending policies.

ā¢ Work with internal partners to assist in determining if a project or individual loan requests meet eligible Condo, Cooperative and Attached PUD guidelines.

ā¢ Achieve targets for productivity, quality, and partner satisfaction.

ā¢ Contact outside third parties on occasion to obtain additional information, as required.

ā¢ Ensure all underwriting processes comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
ā¢ One year of Project Approval Group Underwriting
,
ā¢ Two years of collateral processing, underwriting, or management experience
,
ā¢ Strong understanding of financial documents and appraisals
,
ā¢ Working knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA
,
ā¢ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, underwriting software and financial analysis tools
Nice-to-haves
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or related field
