Project Accountant
Acosta is seeking a detail-driven accounting professional to join their team as a Project Accountant. The role is focused on ensuring project costs are accurate, compliant, and billed correctly while partnering with various teams to manage financial reporting and invoicing. Responsibilities Review SOWs and ensure accurate project and contract set up Partner closely with Project Managers, Account Coordinators, Finance, and Client Teams Perform revenue recognition and balance sheet reconciliation at the support level in accordance with company policy and accounting standards Setup projects and contracts and ensure accurate financial reporting Manage clients invoicing and ensure timely and accurate billing Be able to do accruals and expense reclass and be able to do variance analysis and provide insights to Stakeholders Handle large volume of data efficiently Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) 1–3 years of project accounting or financial analysis experience including month end Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capabilities Experience with revenue recognition and project-based accounting Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Company Overview Acosta brings simplicity to retail sales.
