Project Accountant

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Project Accountant to join its rapidly growing team. The role involves managing job costing and Percentage of Completion accounting, ensuring accurate project setups and financial reporting in the ERP system.ResponsibilitiesReview booking documents and set up new projects, change orders, and service agreements accurately and on time in the ERP systemProcess changes in estimates for active projects accurately and on time in the ERP systemClose out projects in ERP system upon completionAssist with preparation and review of WIP analysis after each payroll cycleReview and validate monthly charges to active projects and resolve discrepanciesEnter time charged to jobs from weekly timesheetsComplete special department projects as directedAdhere to all company policies and protocolsAssist in month end close; other special projects as neededSkillsUp to two years of job costing and/or percentage of completion accounting experienceTeamwork-orientedMust be detail-oriented and able to follow through independentlyAble to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesAbility to make routine judgments and decisionsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skills, both written and verbalExperience with accounting software (MS Dynamics preferred or Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate)Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including ability to construct formulas with accurate syntax, using advanced functions, and pivot tablesBachelor's degree in accounting, economics, or financeBenefitsPaid time off plan and holidays401(k) matchingShort term and long-term disabilityMedical, dental, and vision plans with optionsLife insuranceProfessional career development opportunitiesHybrid work schedule availableCompany OverviewSciens Building Solutions is a provider of fire detection and security services.
