Job description: We are hiring a Program Support Specialist (Program Representative) for one of our clients in Trenton, NJ.Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Program Representative to support the coordination and daily operations of federally funded disaster recovery programs, including CDBG-DR and FEMA initiatives.
This role focuses heavily on project coordination and caseload management, requiring strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
The Program Representative will serve as the main point of contact for applicants, managing inbound and outbound communications through a chat portal and phone calls, maintaining detailed case notes, and guiding applicants through program processes while ensuring compliance with established policies.
Responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams such as Construction and Grant Support, as well as external agencies like Housing Counseling agencies, to facilitate efficient service delivery.
Key milestones in the process include documenting eligibility, presenting award agreement documents during an award signing meeting, collecting documentation for construction payment draws, and overseeing a caseload to ensure proper project management.
The role also involves participating in ongoing training, using program-specific systems, analyzing data to improve operations, and preparing official applicant communications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel, is essential, along with the ability to maintain professionalism, handle sensitive issues, and support cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Work hours:
9 AM 5 PM
Lunch period (Unpaid): 1 hour
