Program Manager, US & Canada Policy and Partnerships
OpenAI is seeking a Program Manager to join the US & Canada Policy and Partnerships Team within Global Affairs. The role will facilitate and enable the operational effectiveness of a fast-moving portfolio spanning US federal and state policy, Canada policy, and partnerships / external affairs workstreams.
Requirements
ā¢ 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, operations, or similar roles supporting multiple concurrent workstreams in fast-paced environments.
ā¢ Demonstrated ability to manage across a broad and diverse set of stakeholders (both internal cross-functional teams and external partners) with excellent judgment and discretion.
ā¢ Proficiency with AI tools and strong ability to translate AI capability into practical team workflows.
ā¢ Exceptional organizational skill and attention to detail; comfortable building systems that scale coordination across a complex portfolio.
ā¢ Strong analytical and writing skills; ability to synthesize complex policy, regulatory, or stakeholder contexts into clear, actionable outputs (briefing memos, readouts, trackers, leadership updates).
ā¢ Demonstrated interest in the intersection of technology, policy/politics, and external affairs; familiarity with AI policy, emerging technologies, or regulatory frameworks is a plus (not required)
