Program Manager, US & Canada Policy and Partnerships
OpenAI is seeking a Program Manager to join the US & Canada Policy and Partnerships Team within Global Affairs. The role will facilitate and enable the operational effectiveness of a fast-moving portfolio spanning US federal and state policy, Canada policy, and partnerships / external affairs workstreams.
Requirements
β’ 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, operations, or similar roles supporting multiple concurrent workstreams in fast-paced environments.
β’ Demonstrated ability to manage across a broad and diverse set of stakeholders (both internal cross-functional teams and external partners) with excellent judgment and discretion.
β’ Proficiency with AI tools and strong ability to translate AI capability into practical team workflows.
β’ Exceptional organizational skill and attention to detail; comfortable building systems that scale coordination across a complex portfolio.
β’ Strong analytical and writing skills; ability to synthesize complex policy, regulatory, or stakeholder contexts into clear, actionable outputs (briefing memos, readouts, trackers, leadership updates).
β’ Demonstrated interest in the intersection of technology, policy/politics, and external affairs; familiarity with AI policy, emerging technologies, or regulatory frameworks is a plus (not required)
