As a Program Manager, Product Management Operations, you will support the effectiveness and execution of the Consumer Tax product management organization. You will be responsible for driving delivery of complex, cross‑functional initiatives, improving how teams work, and ensuring operational rigor across product development efforts. In this role, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, and other stakeholders to coordinate planning, execution, and delivery across multiple workstreams. You will help establish and maintain strong processes, metrics, and operating rhythms that enable product teams to move faster with confidence while meeting the needs of a highly regulated environment. Day to day, you'll... • Own program management for large, cross‑team initiatives, coordinating scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones • Partner with Product Managers to support roadmap execution, backlog readiness, and alignment across dependent teams • Help define, document, and improve product development processes, working practices, and tools across the product organization • Apply Lean, Agile, and DevOps principles to reduce friction, increase delivery predictability, and improve speed to value • Establish and track metrics that measure progress, delivery health, and outcomes of product initiatives • Support adoption and consistent use of H&R Block’s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and product operating standards • Facilitate cross‑functional planning, prioritization, and decision‑making forums • Identify risks and dependencies early, escalate appropriately, and drive resolution across teams • Communicate program status, risks, and impacts clearly to product leaders and stakeholders • Foster an environment of curiosity, urgency, collaboration, and continuous improvement Education What you'll bring to the team... • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience Work Experience • 8+ years minimum related work experience • Experience supporting cross‑functional delivery in Agile product development environments • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities • Experience defining and improving processes that support product and technology teams • Comfort working in regulated environments and partnering with risk and compliance stakeholders • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a bias toward data‑informed decision making It would be even better if you also had... • Experience supporting digital analytics, experimentation, or data‑driven product teams • Familiarity with tools such as Aha, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar product and delivery platforms • Agile, Scrum, Product, or Program Management certifications Why work for us Since 1955, we have been leaders in tax preparation, financial services, and small business solutions. Pay Range Information The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit. Pay Range $101,200.00 - $161,900.00/Yr.
