This role is responsible for driving successful project execution from contract through delivery, ensuring strong financial performance, operational excellence, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with experience managing concurrent, complex projects in a science-driven environment. This individual will serve as a key operational partner to project teams and clients, strengthening execution discipline and contributing to scalable delivery practices across our scientific solutions. Department: Operations Internal Grade: 10Direct Reports: NoStatus: ExemptLocation: Remote Job Responsibilities: Program & Project Planning and ExecutionAccountable for the completion of multiple concurrent client-facing projects across the company’s scientific portfolio, providing guidance and support to junior team members Facilitate internal and external project meetings to monitor progress, decisions and issues throughout the project lifecycleFoster collaboration, accountability and high-performance team dynamicsAdhere to established governance structures to ensure alignment, transparency, and disciplined execution Stakeholder Engagement and CommunicationServe as point of contact for project status updates with clients and internal stakeholdersProvide clear, audience-appropriate reporting on milestones, risks, financial performance, and overall portfolio healthSecure commitment from team leads on deliverables and key milestonesBuild trust and credibility with clients, vendors and cross-functional teamsTailor communication appropriately for scientific teams, leadership, and external stakeholdersService Delivery and Operational AlignmentDrive alignment of project goals with client requirements and contractual commitmentsOptimize the service delivery processes to enhance consistency and efficiencyWork closely with development teams or scientific teams to support effective execution and communication throughout the project lifecyclePrioritize service projects alongside service teams, ensuring client and business needs are alignedSupport contract planning by offering insights to improve project profitability and delivery timingEnsure quality standards align with service deliverable expectationsAlign portfolio solutions with the organizational strategy and corporate visionRisk, Change and Issue ManagementIdentify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies to protect delivery, scope, resources and financial performanceManage scope changes and ensure alignment between client expectations and internal capabilitiesEscalate significant risks, resource constraints or delivery concerns to operations leadership, when necessary Address conflicts or disagreements within the project team and facilitate resolution or escalate, if neededCommunicate changes in project direction, scope adjustments, or resource reallocations to the team and obtain internal stakeholder alignmentFinancial and Performance Management Develop and maintain project revenue forecasts and monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycleTrack and report key performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunitiesDrive standardization of processes and knowledge sharing across service solutions to enhance efficiency and consistencyOther duties as assigned Qualifications: 8+ years of progressive project or program management experience in scientific, technical, or regulated environmentsProject Management Professional (PMP) Job related experience using AI or GenAI requiredExperience leveraging AI tools or agents to streamline repeatable tasksExperience leading initiatives involving AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detailAdvanced computer skills including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeExperience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and project management softwareAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentStrong stakeholder management and strategic decision making skillsProven ability to influence without authorityWorking knowledge of financial principles, including budgeting and forecastingDemonstrated ability to build trust and maintain professionalism in interactions with colleagues and clientsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.Occasional travel for meetings and trainings Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field Master’s degree in business, science, or related field a plusFind out more about how amazing it is to work at Simulations Plus by visiting www.simulations-plus.com/career-center and apply today!
