If you are interested in joining The Building People, we encourage you to APPLY TODAY! The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Program Manager - Department of Defense. The Program Manager leads a multidisciplinary program delivering procurement, installation, monitoring, and maintenance services for Industrial Control Systems that include UMCS, HVAC controls, SCADA, Fire Alarm Systems, Electronic Security Systems, metering, and related life safety and force protection technologies. This role oversees multiple simultaneous task orders at federal facilities, ensuring cost, schedule, quality, cybersecurity, and safety objectives are met. The Program Manager serves as the primary point of contact to government stakeholders, guiding program planning, staffing, subcontractor management, risk management, and reporting. The Program Manager shall have full authority to act for the contractor on all contract matters relating to the daily operation of this contract. This effort supports a Department of Defense engineering and support mission. Skills & Requirements Required Experience & Skills β€’ Seven (7) to 10 years of relevant experience in UMCS, ESS, FAS, and SCADA technologies. β€’ Minimum five years in a management or supervisory capacity. β€’ Minimum five years working in the functional areas being managed, such as building automation, electronic security, or fire alarm systems. β€’ Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-site programs with firm fixed price task orders. β€’ Proficiency with program controls including scope, schedule, budget, EVMS or equivalent reporting, risk and change management, and subcontractor oversight. β€’ Working knowledge of federal standards and criteria that commonly apply to this work, including UFGS, UFC, EM 385-1-1, and applicable NFPA codes for fire and life safety. β€’ Familiarity with ICS cybersecurity practices and controls aligned with NIST guidance for operational technology environments. β€’ Strong communication skills with experience briefing senior stakeholders and writing clear technical and management reports. β€’ Experience implementing corporate and site Quality Control plans, including three phase control, and managing inspections and submittals in RMS/QCS. β€’ Ability to travel to active project sites, including secure facilities. β€’ Active Secret Clearance Preferred Experience & Skills β€’ Prior experience supporting federal programs involving UMCS, ESS, SCADA, or facility modernization. β€’ Experience integrating legacy building automation with new DDC systems, metering, and enterprise monitoring platforms. β€’ PMP certification. β€’ PE or another relevant professional credential. Required Education β€’ Bachelor's degree in engineering or business from an accredited institution, or a closely related field aligned to the program's functional areas. Preferred Education β€’ Advanced degree in engineering, business, or related discipline. Travel β€’ Minimum 25% to job sites CONUS and OCONUS as required by task orders.
