Program Coordinator
STE(A)M Truck is an organization dedicated to delivering high-quality STE(A)M programming for youth and educators. The Program Coordinator is responsible for facilitating engaging instruction, managing program logistics, and supporting operational needs to create impactful learning experiences.ResponsibilitiesFacilitate engaging, hands-on STE(A)M instruction using provided curriculum and guidance from Program ManagersSupport and be present for all assigned programmingCreate inclusive, engaging learning environments that foster belonging and positive interactionsEnsure safety, cleanliness, and strong setup/breakdown practices at all program sitesParticipate in ongoing staff development and training opportunitiesMaintain confidentiality and adhere to all organizational and site policiesBe available for programming scheduled Monday–Saturday between 6:00 AM – 8:00 PMSupport Run of Show coordination and executionConduct quality checks for kitted bins, tools, and materialsAssist in staging, setup, and breakdown for engagements and eventsSupport curriculum collateral updates, including adaptations for multi-language learnersMaintain organization of Makerspace, Kit Room, and OfficeServe as the primary driver for all program deployments, ensuring vehicles arrive on time and ready for programmingAttend and actively participate in all staff meetingsActively work to support the achievement of our strategic priorities and proactively communicate with your supervisor on progress toward goalsFollow our hybrid schedule guidelines for working hours and requesting compensatory timeMaintain common areas such as the Makerspace, Kit Room, and Office, quality check tools and materials for programming following kitting and vehicle packing guidelines, follow processes for file systems (electronic and print), and communicate with supervisor about office supplies, tools, consumable materials, and equipment needsProvide other support as needed, including preparing for meetings and eventsSupport onboarding and training of Engagement SpecialistsCapture engaging content while on site or in the Maker Space for social media platforms, including testimonials, images, and action videos that align with the nonprofit’s mission and goals and follow our photo and video guidelinesParticipate in training sessions and workshops for volunteers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their rolesCollaborate with staff to identify volunteer needs and integrate volunteers into program activitiesFoster relationships with community partners to expand volunteer resourcesOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in a related field preferredPrevious experience in nonprofit, educational organizations, or STEM-related fieldsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesProficiency in Google Office SuiteValid driver's license with a clean driving recordExcellent communication skills and team-oriented mindsetComfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentCommitment to the organization's mission and valuesCompany OverviewSTE(A)M Truck is a mobile makerspace that inspires youth to learn Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
